Me again! I’m on a posting frenzy right now, so bare with me. I just (and, I mean just) posted my April and May boxes, and now on to the June and, sadly my last box from Foodzie…sweet July. If you read my previous post (you know, the one I just blah, blah, blah) you already know that Foodzie is no longer doing monthly subscription boxes, as part of the Joyus acquiring them thingy and such.
Regardless, I received lots of insanely awesome tasties in my last two boxes, and didn’t wanna leave em’ out, just because it takes me 9 years to post and stuff. These food companies deserve a lil’ spotlight, so here goes nothin!
Coconut Water from O.N.E: I’m not gonna name any names whatsoever, but someone drank this up before I could even taste it. Rude.
Dried Blueberries from Benjamin Twiggs: I can’t believe I’m sayin’ this, but I haven’t tried these yet. Bloobs aren’t my fave, but they are dried, and I’m an addict, so I’m sure I’ll devour them soon…Yup, just did.
Grassfed Paleo Kit & PaleoKrunch Bar from Steve’s Original: I wrote a post about Paleopax way back when, if you’re into the Paleo thang, or lookin’ to get some info, check it out (here). The bar was amazers. So good. The kit was slaughtered on the Ferry, when we headed to Long Island to visit the fam. I’ll be honest. I didn’t like it. I think it was because the fruit was mixed up with the juice from the “jerky” and that made me feel, well…um, like a jerk. I hate when my food mixes without prior written approval. Wah.
Picky Bars from Lauren’s Mega Nuts: A date, raw honey, peanut butter, nut & fruit masterpiece in the shape of a bar.
Almond Butter from Barney Butter: Barney? I love your butter. In fact, I made an ABJ (almond better and blackberry jam) sammy the other day and felt 5 all over again. Love you!
Granola with raisins from San Franola: This granoly is low sugar, high protein & also very fiberous! It was 150% delicious and gone, gone, gone within like, a day or two.
Fleur De Sel Caramels Jonboy: What up Seattle? Just as an FYI, these salted caramels rocked my planet.
Half Pops Half Pops: I’m slightly ashamed to say that I had never heard of “half pops” prior to the arrival of this fancy lil’ pack to my front door. I mean, as much as I love popcorn, I never knew that half pops existed. The scoop: Half pops are a WHOLE lotta good (get it?). Marriage material. Freaking genius.
Cherry Medly Chukar Cherries: There are 3 different kinds of dried cherries in this bag: “Sweet Rainers, winey Bings and tart, puckery Montmorency.” Is it just me, or did I just type in a different language? Either way. These guys are dried, and they are fruit. So therefore I adore them.
Flagship Crackers Beecher’s Cheese: It’s come to my attention as I type this, that although I write about food incessantly, I’ve never shared or even really commented on my addiction to cheese. I’m sorry cheese. I didn’t mean to disrespect our relationship. To prove my love, I ate this entire bag by myself (well, almost). I disgust myself.
Strawberry Lemon Preserves Big Spoon: Oh, hot dam. This is my favorite lil’ jar-o-jam. So cute, and so about to become my bitch (I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m about to, in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1). Boom.
okay, then. Guess I’m gonna go cram some food down my belly now. You?
