Online sample sale / private sale boutiques have been around a long time, although lately, they seem to keep coming up on my radar a lot more frequently than in the days of yore. And, they are great for shopping for yourself or for someone else as many of them have categories for woman, men, living/home goods, travel, food, baby/kids, gifts, etc. Most are invite-only so when you sign up be sure to click on my Invitation links. The Bonus (why wouldn’t there be a bonus) is that for most, you get credits for referring. Oh yes. I said it. Come on people! It’s time to start making money while we shop and enjoying the rewards our faves our offering to us for being such awesome customers. Let’s all scratch each other’s backs. Not literally obviously… that would be inappropriate.
Rue La La has become a fave of mine lately as I really enjoy the brands they sell. New sales (aka boutiques) typically open every day at 11 am ET and they have a pretty kick ass shipping offer to boot – $9.95 for your first order, then it’s F-R-E-E for 30 days. Be sure to hop on early to grab the “Daily Fix” as it typically sells out pretty quick. And, if you live in a major metro (Boston, Chicago, LA, Miami, New York, Philly, San Fran, Seattle or DC) you also get to shop really great offers from the locals (from food and exercise, to spa and shoppin’). My recent purchases include my new Betsey Johnson Black Ruched Collar Coat and two (2) tanks – the Yummie Tummie Nude Strappy Tank & Yummie Tummie Charcoal Original Long Tank. I saved a boat load by shopping Rue – the jacket was originally almost $300 and I got it for $90 and the tanks typically sell for upwards of $50+ each and I snagged them at $15 a top with F-R-E-E shipping.
It’s no cost to sign up and do a lil’ window shoppin – here’s your invite: http://www.ruelala.com/invite/5stylehigh
Friend Referral Bonus: Invite Friends and get $10 bucks when they make their first purchase.
Gilt Groupe is members only offering up to 60% off what you would get at retail. They typically offer high-dolla brands, such as BCBGMAXAZRIA, Marc Jacobs, and French Connection to name a few. Like Rue, they offer local sub sections for the major metros. This has been great for us so far – I purchased an ice skating date package and a cooking class for more than half off what I would’ve paid otherwise. THANK YOU GILT BOSTON!

I love the layout of ideeli – super easy to navigate great deals from designers such as 7 For All Mankind, D & G, Nicole Miller, Puma, Nine West and more. They put together some really great category sales too – like “Mom’s Wishlist” and “Coat Envy” – where they put a bunch of awesome designers in one sale for you to pick and choose by product type or need. I dig it. You should too. My next splurge is comin’ from this place…

HauteLook is the place were I got my 1-year Lucky Magazine Subscription for like, a total of $5 doll hairs. I can’t remember the exact, but it was a ridiculous savings. New sales start every day at 8am PT. That’s wicked early for us East Coasters, but pretty worth it to get a fashion, beauty, toy, accessory or getaway fixes at 75% off. Everyone is welcome to join, and basically should in my big fat opinion. Be sure to check out the “Gift of the Day” and “Getaways” sections before you check out.

I LOVE THE NUMBER FIVE:
Glamlist is completely different from any of the sites above, which is probably why I love it so much. If you are looking for on-trend apparel that everybody and their mother will not be wearing – CHECK. THIS. OUT. Glamlist offers prêt-a-porter (ready to wear for those of you that are not French) garb from Parisian designers to their invite-only guest list. The items are placed in groups with category names such as “Leather & Lace” and “Special Cashmeer”. Check them out like yesterday if you wanna feel super fancy and not have to sell your first, second and third born to make it happen.
Join Now: You’ll have to send me an email with your email address if you want to get in. They don’t offer a referral link. Don’t worry, I won’t give your email address to anyone but Glamlist for purposes of the invite.
A Bonus for you: Guess what they do? They give you a $5 dollar certificate every single time you order. I mean seriously..how awesome is that?
